What a special day this was. This excellent village fayre, very well organised and run by a hard-working group of volunteers from Sturmer Village, excelled themselves and pulled off an event of which they can be all very proud.
Attended by almost 2,000 visitors, and with a variety of traders and family-fun things to entertain you, children and adults alike smiled the afternoon away while, the band played, the choir sang, and welly-chucking enthusiasts tried hard to out throw each other as the competition reached its peak.
From the classy Classic Car Show to an extraordinarily well-run and entertaining Dog Show, Sturmer Village Fayre had it all.
Mark Novels who did such a sterling job of heading up the organising committee, and who came up with the idea of re-launching this once annual village event can feel justifiably proud this week.
Tired yes, but proud nonetheless.
Well done to one and all.
