At Sturmer Hall, we always aim to create a beautiful, friendly and safe environment that families, friends and couples can come and spend much needed quality time together.
Let’s face it: camping isn’t for everyone. Do you dread the prospect of the uneven ground, the soggy tent and heavy backpacks but still want to indulge yourself with all the pleasures of the outdoor experience?
Fear not though: Glamping on the Sturmer Hall Estate is a truly comfortable way to enjoy the great outdoors with family members and friends of any age and ability.
‘Sturmer Hall Glamping’ is set in one of the most beautiful areas in East England, with lots of activities, history and nature on offer. Our tents & overnight accommodation caters for nearly everyone, whether you are on a romantic holiday for two, a family holiday, a group trip or simply just somewhere to stop off for a night or two when putting up the tent is just too much effort.’
Here you will find a family-friendly glampsite within easy travelling distance from Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds, Chelmsford, Ipswich and just an hour in the car from London. Sturmer Hall Glamping is more than just your usual glampsite, offering a place where anyone can escape the busyness of life and relax in a very cosy and safe little place, supervised by the lovely and very accommodating staff.
Dog-friendly glamping site
Sturmer Hall Estate Glamping, is a dog-friendly site. This is because we ourselves are pet-lovers and can totally understand how important it is to have your furry companion on holiday with you. To ensure the safety of guests, children and other animals and wildlife around the Sturmer Hall grounds please observe the list of dos and don’ts below.
- We welcome one large dog or 2 small dogs to our tents only (Our main house and rose garden rooms do not accept dogs)
- An extra cleaning charge of £5 per dog per night is applicable with payment due on arrival.
- Guest are not allowed to turn up at the accommodation with a dog without prior agreement during booking,
- Only type of pet allowed is a dog.
- Breeds on the dangerous dog list or fighting dogs are not accepted.
- Bring your own dog bed, they will enjoy their stay more! Please also ensure you bring your own towels etc for cleaning and drying your dog.
- Dog are not allowed on the furniture and especially the bed.
- Dogs must be on a lead at all times. This is to ensure the safety of our many animals, children and guests around the site. Remember… unfortunately, not everybody loves our pets like we do and there are people with allergies on animals fur. There is no fenced off area for dogs specifically however guests are welcome to walk their dogs along the tree line within the SH grounds.
- Please ensure that your dog is clean before entering the tent (an outside tap is provided).
- Dogs should never be left alone in the accommodation.
- All dog waste must be scooped, bagged and disposed of in the external waste bin by the dog owner.
- It’s the dog-owners responsibility to clean up after the dog inside and outside the SH glamping tents.
- Please ensure that flea treatment is up to date before arrival.
- The interior and grounds must be left in a clean, undamaged condition.
- Any damaged or stains must be paid for in full.
